That's a good question Minimus. I disagree with the opinion that when the new guy comes in all of the current problems are the last guy's fault. Especially if the current prez promised to undo the poor decisions of the previous. It is beginning to irritate me that some Obama supporters are stuck on using Bush as the excuse for what's going on now. 18 months later?
That's my street level opinion. The presidents don't have all that much power anyway. But we usually have a sense that our prez is "the man"... good or bad. With this guy we don't get a sense that he has much control over what's happening. No one is expecting miracles. But what exactly do we have here?
In answer to your question.... Obama is starting to take some heat.

Had any Dreams Lately you Want to Share ? What Meanings do you Get ?
by flipper ingawd- i had a crazy dream last night.
in books i've read about dreaming- it has stated many times dreams are about " unfinished situations " in your life that are trying to sort out within your dreams.. my dream was : my son flipper junior and me were being chased by government thugs who wanted us to release some important numbers - a code we had written down.
only problem was is this code had information that would cost our families & friends lives if these government people got them from us.

Agonus That bugs me to no end. They act like "oh that's what I thought anyway." It is so irritating. That they went along with something they didn't agree on makes them feel humble and that they "waited on Jehovah".

My friend got a certified letter saying he is being DF'D
by foolsparadise inmy friends wife just divorced him with no scriptural grounds about a year ago.
kicked him out changed the locks on his own house won't let him see his children.
he was living in his truck for two months.

Unfortunately once they start gunning for you, there isn't much you can do. What an unloving, isolating religion.
Bane, there is no hypocrisy in this situation. If you have family in the religion there can be lots of conflicting emotions surrounding your exit. You should be free to leave on your terms.

Generation 'New Light' is Actually Working
by zoiks inas ridiculous as it seems to me and most of you, the infamous 'generation' update has every jw that i know in a tizzy.
they're all worked up about how 'exciting' it all is.
i just received a letter from my mom (she only communicates through letters now), and she brought it up - how they carefully explained it at the convention, and how it shows that we are so close to the end.. unbelievable.

I have a recurring dream that I am threatened in some way by one large (human size) rabbit or 4 rabbits. In the dream I am with my nieces and although I am afraid, I try to protect them from the situation. There are usually a group of strangers somewhere nearby. The rabbits nor the strangers are an obvious threat to us but I am very nervous. I always wake up with a jolt.

i grew up as a jw and it was verboten to say "bless you" or "gesundheit" after someone sneezes.

And I agree that it is displaying good manners to acknowledge someone's "post sneezing comments". I remember when I was a dub and didn't acknowledge someone's sneeze I felt as if I was dissing them big time. Not a good feeling.
